About the Author
Ivan Jude was born and raised in the southern part of
Mindanao, in a small town called Polomolok. Having been raised by very
hardworking parents, he grew up thinking that for you to succeed in life, you
have to work really hard.
During vacations, he was not your typical boy whom you can
find playing all day long with other kids on the street. Most of the time, you
can find him at home cleaning his assigned area including toilets and sinks,
gardening in the backyard, feeding the pigs, making ice candies to sell in
their store, or in the church serving the mass.
With parents who are very particular when it comes to
education, he was sent to study in the best private school in town, the Notre
Dame Sienna College of Polomolok. He graduated as first honorable mention in
his elementary class and also as Valedictorian in his high school class. He did
not only excel in the academe but also in sports. He was the champion in darts
and played basketball, baseball, and soccer. He was also awarded with the Notre
Dame Medallion, the highest award given by a Notre dame school, for his exemplary
effort and dedication in upholding the values and ideals of his Alma mater.
He was very blessed to have passed the entrance exam to the
only private University in South Cotabato during his time, the Notre Dame of
Marbel University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology as a
DOST(Department of Science and Technology) Scholarship grantee. With great
discipline and hard work, he graduated with honors as Cum Laude. Unfortunately,
he did not land a job right away after his graduation. He did not know what to
pursue way back then as he knew a lot of things but mastered none of it in the
process of acquiring them.
Thinking that he still has the advantage from others, he
became a couch potato for several months playing online games and eating
chocolates. When he applied for a job, he was shocked by the truth that most of
the companies offer very little for a starting salary even if you have good
grades. Also, he was rejected by several multinational companies because of his
lack of expertise. It took a lot of time before he submitted to the truth that
he still has to start from the bottom in the corporate ladder.
When he started working, he kept on jumping from one employer
to another whenever he felt that there was no room for promotion and improvement.
He wanted to get a higher position every time he transferred to another company
thinking that the only way to be successful in life was to get a high paying job and
a decent sounding title.
One day, while browsing the Internet for motivational books, he came across a review of a book entitled Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki which seemed to be very familiar to him. He remembered that his mother had a copy of that book given to her by his older brother Lester. After coming home from work, he found himself reading through its pages with so much eagerness to understand the ironic truths presented in the book. He read it many times in just a week and he realized a lot of things.

After coming home from work, he found himself reading through its pages with so much eagerness to understand the ironic truths presented in the book. He read it many times in just a week and he realized a lot of things.
Then, his point of view about life, success, wealth, and happiness slowly began
to change. It became the dramatic turning point of his life when he read about the
different and better means to build wealth by working smarter and not harder.
He realized that he needed to learn other ways to address the long problem of
not having enough money for his three families - For his God-given family, his
soon-to-be family, and his family in the Church knowing that his savings from
his employment would never be sufficient.
Soon enough, he started looking for opportunities and began doing the things his mentors are doing and hoping to become like them someday. He firmly believes that if others can do it, then he can do it, and YOU CAN DO IT too.
